Fixed Business Contacts
The EQX system requires company contacts to be uploaded so that we can validate and deal with the correct people.
We have two contact types for our SOHO/SME/LSME customers.
- Chooser = Person who is responsible for the account, account owner or person that has signed a contract, the main contact. *We can only have one Chooser per Company.
- Sub Chooser = As we can only have one Chooser, we can add Sub Choosers as an extra contact to manage the account.
Within the old system SingleServe we would have had all the nominated people in the system as a contact.
As every account within the EQX system requires one Chooser it may have been difficult to identify who was the main contact.
This may have caused an issue and didn’t bring everyone across during migrations.
What to do if there is no Chooser visible in EQX?
If a customer contacts, you and you can’t locate them in the EQX system as a Chooser contact.
Check SingleServe to see if they are in the contacts listed.
- If they are in the contacts listed, add them as a Sub Chooser and follow Add Chooser flow if they want to be nominated as the Chooser.
- If they are NOT in the contacts listed, follow Add Chooser flow if they want to be nominated as the Chooser.
What to do if there is no Sub Choosers visible in EQX, however, the account has a Chooser?
If a customer contacts, you and you can’t locate them in the EQX system as a Chooser contact.
Check SingleServe to see if they are in the contacts listed.
- If they are in the contacts listed, add them as a Sub Chooser.
- If they are NOT in the contacts listed, advise them the Chooser will have to request them to be added..
What to do if there is no Chooser or no Sub Choosers visible in EQX?
If a customer contacts, you and you can’t locate them in the EQX system as a Chooser contact.
Check SingleServe to see if they are in the contacts listed.
- If they are in the contacts listed, add them as a Sub Chooser and follow Add Chooser flow if they want to be nominated as the Chooser.
- If they are NOT in the contacts listed, follow Add Chooser flow if they want to be nominated as the Chooser.
What can Fixed Business Contacts do?
Check if the customer is one of the following:
- *Chooser
- **Sub Chooser can cease subscriptions. If there is only one subscription left on the account, the Chooser can only cease it.
Add Chooser Postal Request
Advise the customer to send in the request for the Account Contact or Authorized Contacts to be added. The request will need to come from the Account/Authorized Contact themselves. (It is likely this will be the Owner or Director of the company.)
Advise them to send this in on Company Headed paper with the request to be to be added as an Account Contact (Chooser) and also to add any Authorized Contacts (SubChoosers) to the account also.
A SubChooser can do everything a Chooser can do on the account, except for adding user roles and ceasing the entire account.
Ensure the following information is included in the request:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Contact number
- My Vodafone Username
- Email/Mobile/landline
- DOB
Ask the new Chooser to also request any SubChoosers they wish to appoint.
The postal address to send this to, is:

- Vodafone Ireland Ltd, Mountainview,
- Leopardstown,
- Dublin 18
SLA for adding the users to the account is 24 hours once the request is received by us.
The customer can contact us back to continue with their query once the account set up is complete.
Add Chooser e-mail Request
Advise the customer to send in the request for the Account Contact or Authorized Contacts to be added. The request will need to come from the Account/Authorized Contact themselves. (It is likely this will be the Owner or Director of the company.)
This can be sent by email with the request coming from their company email address.
If they are sending this from a web-based email address, they must include a scanned copy of the request on letter headed paper.
A SubChooser can do everything a Chooser can do on the account, except for adding user roles and ceasing the entire account.
Ensure the following information is included in the request:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Contact number
- My Vodafone Username
- Email/Mobile/landline
- DOB
Ask the new Chooser to also request any SubChoosers they wish to appoint.
