Vodafone Comedy Tent returns to the Body&Soul Festival bigger and better than ever!
Tommy Tiernan to make his Body&Soul debut along with top Irish and International acts
Vodafone today announced the ‘craicing’ line-up of Irish and International comedians set to perform at the Vodafone Comedy Tent at Body&Soul Music & Arts Festival this June. This year’s roster is stronger than ever and includes a mix of stand-up, improv, sketch and musical comedy from a stellar mix of Irish and International acts.
Irish comedy legend Tommy Tiernan will make his Body&Soul debut at this year’s festival, while hip hop musical comedian Abandoman will turn up the heat in the tent over the weekend. Also joining this year’s impressive lineup is Jarlath Regan, who will record an episode of his popular podcast An Irishman Abroad live from the tent with special guests of Dublin Old School, writer and actor Emmet Kirwan (Heartbreak, RIOT) and actor Ian Lloyd Anderson (Love/Hate, Game of Thrones). Joanne McNally will give festival goers a real treat with the debut festival performance of her successful show Wine Tamer.
The Vodafone Comedy Tent is a stand-out addition to the already sensational line-up that will keep the most seasoned festival goers in good spirits in the enchanting surroundings of Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath from 22nd - 24th June. It offers a fun filled comedy experience with this year set to be the most successful to date, with one of the most diverse and progressive comedy programmes on the Irish circuit.
Some exciting newcomers include Dreamgun Film Reads present Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and interactive legal comedy This Is Your Trial will make its Irish debut featuring Steve Bennett, Eleanor Tiernan and Andrew Stanley.
The line-up will showcase artists that approach comedy in a new and interesting way including Bryony Kimmings who turns unspeakable subjects into hot topics and Sanderson Jones whose comedy is inspirational, interactive, and eye wateringly funny.
There are also some child-friendly performances on the schedule including Keith Farnan with Kidocracy, an interactive theatre show for children and Punchlion Kids Comedy Club a family friendly stand-up comedy club experience with the funniest, silliest jokes, sketches and songs for kids and big people.
Dublin Comedy Improv will return to the Vodafone Comedy Tent, the second longest running improv troupe in Europe, is a must see at the festival this year. This unique and inspiring comedy show is sure to keep audiences on their toes!
