We understand that changes to price are never welcome, but like many other businesses we are faced with growing cost pressures and increased demand to invest in our network so we can deliver reliable connectivity and the best customer experience possible.
We know that connectivity has never been more important to our customers and with data traffic in our fixed and mobile network growing at double digits annually, we need to continually invest to support growing demand.
In the last three years, we have invested €300 million in the network, with €500 million committed over the next five. These investments enable us to upgrade to a more sustainable and efficient network which improves call and text reliability, provides superfast 4G and 5G services, and expands high-definition voice coverage.
As outlined in your contract terms and conditions, in April each year we will make an adjustment to the price of our plans for the year going forward.
Each April your monthly price plan charge will increase by the below amount:
- €2.50 per month for mobile SIM only plans.
- €3.50 per month for mobile plans with handset.
- €3.50 per month for broadband only plans, broadband and voice plans, and voice only plans.
- €4.50 per month for broadband and TV plans, and broadband, voice and TV plans.
This price adjustment applies to all Vodafone mobile and fixed plans which have a 6, 12, 18 or 24-month minimum contract term.

How does this affect you?
This affects all Vodafone mobile and fixed plans which have a 6, 12, 18 or 24 month minimum contract term. It applies to both Vodafone Consumer and Vodafone Business customers.
Each April your monthly price plan charge will increase by the below amount:
- €2.50 per month for mobile SIM only plans and Mobile Broadband.
- €3.50 per month for mobile plans with handset.
- €3.50 per month for broadband only plans, broadband and voice plans, and voice only plans.
- €4.50 per month for broadband and TV plans, and broadband, voice and TV plans.
I signed up for my mobile bill pay plan before 16th October 2024. What can I expect?
You will see an increase in your monthly price plan charge each April, based on the annual Consumer Price Index (“CPI”) plus 3%. We use the CPI figure published by the Central Statistics Office (“CSO”) in January and apply the change in April each year, in line with your terms and conditions. In the event that the CPI rate is negative, then no CPI amount is applicable but the additional 3% will still apply.
The 3% is to reflect ongoing investments we make in our mobile networks, products, and services.
If you signed up to your current mobile contract before 30 July 2021, and you have not since re-contracted, this price adjustment does not apply to you.
2024 Price Adjustment Examples: In April 2024 we implemented a price adjustment of 7.6%. This is the combination of the CPI inflation rate of 4.6% published by the CSO in January 2024 and the additional 3%. For example:
Consumer Bill Pay Customer receiving their First Year Annual Price Adjustment:
- A customer on a €45 per month RED Unlimited Lite price plan will see their plan increase by €3.42 a month from their April 2024 bill
- A customer on our €60 per month RED Unlimited price plan will see their plan increase by €4.56 a month from their April 2024 bill and
- A customer on our €35 per month RED Unlimited SIM Only price plan will see their plan increase by €2.66 a month from their April 2024 bill
Consumer Bill Pay Customer receiving their Second Year Annual Price Adjustment:
- A customer on a €44.48 per month* RED Unlimited Lite price plan will see their plan increase by €3.38 a month from their April 2024 bill
- A customer on a €66.72 per month* RED Unlimited price plan will see their plan increase by €5.07 a month from their April 2024 bill and
- A customer on a €38.92 per month* RED Unlimited SIM Only price plan will see their plan increase by €2.96 a month from their April 2024 bill

- A customer on a €46.93 per month* RED Unlimited Lite price plan will see their plan increase by €3.57 a month from their April 2024 bill
- A customer on a €70.39 per month* RED Unlimited price plan will see their plan increase by €5.35 a month from their April 2024 bill and
- A customer on a €41.06 per month* RED Unlimited SIM Only price plan will see their plan increase by €3.12 a month from their April 2024 bill

2023 Price Adjustment Examples: In April 2023 we implemented a price adjustment of 11.2%. This is the combination of the CPI inflation rate of 8.2% published by the CSO in January 2023 and the additional 3%. For example:

- A customer on a €40 per month RED Unlimited Lite price plan will see their plan increase by €4.48 a month from their April 2023 bill

- A customer on our €35 per month RED Unlimited SIM Only price plan saw their plan increase by €3.92 a month from their April 2023 bill
Consumer Bill Pay Customer receiving their Second Year Annual Price Adjustment:
- A customer on a €42.20 per month* RED Unlimited Lite price plan will see their plan increase by €4.73 a month from their April 2023 bill
- A customer on a €63.30 per month* RED Unlimited price plan will see their plan increase by €7.09 a month from their April 2023 bill and
- A customer on a €36.93 per month* RED Unlimited SIM Only price plan will see their plan increase by €4.13 a month from their April 2023 bill

2022 Price Adjustment Examples: In April 2022 we implemented a price adjustment of 5.5%. This was lower than the combination of the CPI rate of 5.5% published by the CSO in January 2022 and the additional 3% as the inflation rate was generally considered to be exceptionally high. For example:
- A customer on our €40 per month RED Unlimited Lite price plan will see their plan increase by €2.20 a month from their April 2022 bill
- A customer on our €60 per month RED Unlimited price plan will see their plan increase by €3.30 a month from their April 2022 bill and
- A customer on our €35 per month RED Unlimited SIM Only price plan will see their plan increase by €1.93 a month from their April 2022 bill
I signed up for my broadband plan before 16th October 2024. What can I expect?
You will see an increase in your monthly price plan charge each April, based on the annual Consumer Price Index rate (“CPI”) plus 3%. We use the CPI figure published by the Central Statistics Office (“CSO”) in January and apply the change in April each year, in line with your terms and conditions. In the event that the CPI rate is negative, then no CPI amount is applicable, but the additional 3% will still apply.
The 3% charge is to reflect ongoing investments we make in our mobile and fixed networks, products, and services.
Important note: the annual price adjustment will always be calculated based on the full undiscounted price plan cost (excluding any discounts e.g., promo, introductory or re-contracting discounts)
Price Adjustment Examples: In April 2024 we implemented a price adjustment of 7.6%. This is the combination of the CPI inflation rate of 4.6% published by the CSO in January 2024 and the additional 3%. Please see below examples of how a 7.6% adjustment would apply to your price plan.
- A customer who has a €40 a month Vodafone Home Broadband Only price plan would see their price plan increase by €3.04 a month from their April 2024 bill;
- A customer who has a €45 a month Vodafone Home Broadband & Talk price plan would see their price plan increase by €3.42 a month from their April 2024 bill.
- A customer who has a €70 a month Vodafone Home Broadband and TV price plan, with the €5 a month Super Wi-Fi add-on would see their price plan increase by €5.32 a month from their April 2024 bill.
- Note: the price adjustment is only applied to the Broadband & TV price plan. Super Wi-Fi is a connectivity add-on, and the price adjustment does not apply to connectivity add-ons.

What is the Consumer Price Index (or CPI)?
The CPI is a measure of whether the cost of goods and services is going up or down based on average price changes from across several industries (known as inflation).
In terms of what CPI rate is used for the price adjustment; it is the official annual figure published by the Central Statistics Office in January. The CSO is an independent entity that collects data on the prices of goods & services in Ireland and publishes monthly & annual rates of inflation. They do not set the rate of inflation. We use the rate to inform our annual price adjustments.

What consumer and business plans are these terms applied to?
This affects Business and Consumer mobile bill pay plans which have a 6-, 12- or 24-month minimum term (including sim only and mobile broadband plans) and Business and Consumer fixed plans which have a 6,12,18 or 24-month minimum term (including TV and phone plans).
When will I see this on my bill?
We will apply this adjustment from your April bill.
You can check your bill by logging in to the My Vodafone app or My Vodafone online.

I am a business customer. Will I be affected?
What if I have a discount?
If you signed up on or after 16th October 2024:
The annual price adjustment will be added to your monthly price plan, including any discount you currently have applied.
If you signed up before 16th October 2024:
If you have a discount currently applied, the annual price adjustment calculation will be based on your standard monthly price plan fee before any discount is applied. This is the case for both introductory discounts (such as paying one price for the first 6 or 12 months and a different monthly price thereafter) or any other discounts (such as a Red Family €20 per month discount) applied to your account.
For example,
- If you are on our Red Unlimited SIM Only price plan, the standard monthly price is €35 however you will pay €25 a month for the first 6 months as an
introductory discount. When the annual price adjustment is calculated, it will be calculated on your standard monthly price which is €35 per month. - if you are on our 1GB Fibre Broadband price plan, the standard monthly price is €70 however you may have a 12-month introductory offer and pay a discounted price of €45 per month for the first 12 months, €70 per month thereafter. When the annual price adjustment is calculated, it will be calculated on your standard monthly price which is €70 per month.
Where in my agreement can I find the Annual Price Adjustment clause?
From 16th October 2024, we have updated both mobile and fixed contract terms to include the below clause:
The Annual Price Adjustment term can be found in the mobile contract terms at clause 4.7 and in the fixed contract terms at clause 9.10.
Clause 4.7: Annual Price Adjustment: If you are a new, upgrading or recontracting customer on or after 16th October 2024 with a minimum term of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, your agreement will be subject to an annual price adjustment in April of each year. This means your monthly Price Plan charge will increase by the following amount:
- €2.50 per month for mobile SIM only plans.
- €3.50 per month for mobile plans with handset.

Clause 9.10: Annual Price Adjustment: If you are a new, upgrading or recontracting customer on or after 16th October 2024 with a minimum term of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, your agreement will be subject to an annual price adjustment in April of each year. This means your monthly Price Plan charge will increase by the following amount:
- €3.50 per month for broadband only plans, broadband and voice plans, and voice only plans.
- €4.50 per month for broadband and TV plans, and broadband, voice and TV plans.

If you have signed up before 16th October 2024, the below APA clauses will apply to you:
The Annual Price Adjustment term was included in the mobile contract terms from 30 July 2021 at clause 4.7:
Clause 4.7: If you are a new, upgrading, or recontracting customer on or after 30 July 2021 with a minimum term of 6,12 or 24 months, your agreement will be subject to an annual price adjustment in April of each year. This means your monthly Price Plan charge will increase by an amount equal to the Consumer Price Index rate published by the Central Statistics Office in January of each year (this is the "CPI rate") plus an additional 3% of your Price Plan charge, to reflect ongoing investments we make in our mobile network, products and services. This will be applied from your April bill. In the event that the CPI rate is negative, then no CPI amount is applicable but the additional 3% will still apply.
The Annual Price Adjustment term was included in the fixed contract terms from 31 January 2023 at clause 9.10:
Clause 9.10: If you are a new, upgrading or re-contracting customer on or after 31 January 2023 with a minimum term of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, your agreement will be subject to an annual price adjustment in April of each year. This means your monthly Price Plan charge will increase by an amount equal to the annual Consumer Price Index rate published by the Central Statistics Office in January of each year (this is the "CPI rate") plus an additional 3% of your Price Plan charge to reflect ongoing investments we make in our fixed network, products and services. This will be applied from your April bill. In the event that the CPI rate is negative, then no CPI amount is applicable but the additional 3% will still apply.
Can I cancel my contract as a result of the annual price adjustment?
The annual price adjustment does not give you a right to cancel your contract without penalty.
You can cancel your contract at any time by contacting us and providing us with 30 days’ notice.
However if you decide to cancel your contract while you are within your minimum contract term, you will have to pay an early termination fee.
If you upgrade or recommit to a new minimum term agreement, you will go back to the standard price and any price adjustment previously applied to your service will no longer apply.
However please note that your new agreement will be subject to an annual price adjustment the following April.
Business Customers
I am a business customer. How does this impact my business?
If you signed up on or after October 16, 2024:
This affects all Vodafone Business Mobile or Fixed plans which have a 6, 12, 18 or 24-month minimum contract term. It applies to Vodafone Business SOHO and SME customers.
Each April your monthly price plan charge will increase by the below amount:
For Business mobile plans:
€2.03 ex VAT per month for mobile SIM only plans.
€2.85 ex VAT per month for mobile plans with handset.
For Business fixed plans:
€2.85 ex VAT per month for broadband only plans, broadband and voice plans, and voice only plans.
€3.66 ex VAT per month for broadband and TV plans, and broadband, voice and TV plans.
The above adjustment will be applied to your bill starting April 2025.
If you signed up before October 16, 2024:
You will see an increase in your monthly price plan charge each April, based on the annual Consumer Price Index (“CPI”) plus 3%. - A customer paying €40 per month on RED Business Unlimited Lite would see their plan increase by €3.04 a month from their April 2024 bill;
- A customer paying €55 per month on RED Business Unlimited would see their plan increase by €4.18 a month from their April 2024 bill;
- A customer paying €70 with an introductory discount of €20 per month for Simply Broadband Business 500 would see their plan increased by €5.32 a month from their April 2024 bill;
- A customer paying €70 with an introductory discount of €20 per month for Office Essentials Business 2000 would see their plan increase by €6.84 a month from their April 2024 bill; and,
- A customer paying €70 with an introductory discount of €20 per month for Office Essentials Business 2000 with the €5 a month Super Wi-Fi add-on would see their plan increase by €6.84 a month from April 2024. Note, the price adjustment is only applied to the Broadband & Voice price plan. Super Wi-Fi is a connectivity add-on, and the price adjustment does not apply to connectivity add-ons.
What if I have a discount?
If you signed up on or after October 16, 2024:
For Business Fixed the annual price adjustment will be added to your monthly price plan including any discount you currently have applied. ;
If you signed up before October 16, 2024:
If you have a discount currently applied, the annual price adjustment calculation will be based on your standard monthly price plan fee before any discount is applied. This is the case for both introductory discounts (such as paying one price for the first 6 or 12 months and a different monthly price thereafter) or any other discounts (such as a SoHo Multiline €16.26 ex. VAT per month discount) applied to your account.
For example:
- If you are on our Red Business Unlimited SIM Only price plan, the standard monthly price is €35 ex. VAT however, you will pay €25 ex. VAT a month for the first 6 months as an introductory discount. When the annual price adjustment is calculated, it will be calculated on your standard monthly price, which is €35 ex. VAT per month.
- if you are on our 1GB Fibre Broadband price plan, the standard monthly price is €70 ex. VAT however, you may have a 12-month introductory offer and pay a discounted price of €50 ex. VAT per month for the first 12 months, €70 ex. VAT per month thereafter. When the annual price adjustment is calculated, it will be calculated on your standard monthly price, which is €70 ex. VAT per month.
