How can I switch to Vodafone X?
If you are new to Vodafone, the easiest way to switch to Vodafone X is by visiting the Vodafone X page where you will find details of the Vodafone X plan. You can also switch to Vodafone X by visiting a Vodafone retail store.

I am already a Vodafone customer, can I change my plan to Vodafone X?
You can also change your plan to Vodafone X online by visiting the Vodafone X page or text ‘UNLIMITED’ to 50222.
Once you change your top up offer, you will lose all allowances and will need to top up to activate your new top up offer’s allowances. It’s a good idea to change your top up offer at the end of your current top up offer’s cycle.
I want to keep my credit and not reactivate my top up offer
If you top up in the middle of your top up cycle, i.e. during your 28 days, your top up offer will reactivate and your allowances will reset.
It’s simple if you want to add credit to your account in the middle of your top up cycle. Just top up in increments of €5, €10 or €15 through the My Vodafone app.
I have topped up by €20 but Vodafone X hasn’t activated yet
Every time you top up, you will receive a message confirming your top up plan has been activated and your plan benefits. Your plan will usually activate within a few minutes, however, sometimes this can take a little longer.

Mobile data speed explained
Our Vodafone X top up offer is available with maximum data speeds of 10 Mbps.
Speed refers to how fast your mobile data connection is. We measure it in Mbps (megabits per second) – the higher the Mbps, the faster the speed of your data connection on your device.
Not everyone uses their phone in the same way. Our Vodafone X top up offer is built to match how you use yours.
10 Mbps is perfect for:
- Browsing the internet - general surfing on the internet requires no more than 1 Mbps. Therefore, the data speed limit of 10 Mbps, will allow you to carry out your browse comfortably
- Checking social media - Facebook, including chat recommends 0.032 Mbps. Therefore, the data speed limit of 10 Mbps will allow you to enjoy unlimited browsing on Facebook
- Messages and emails
- Music streaming (e.g. Spotify high quality) - Spotify recommends 0.36 Mbps to stream high quality music. Therefore, the data speed limit of 10 Mbps will allow you to enjoy unlimited music on Spotify
- Sending and receiving images, audio and video files
- Making and receiving HD quality video calls
- Streaming HD quality TV shows and movies (Netflix recommends 5 Mbps for HD quality)
- Most single player, online games
- Downloading and updating apps on-the-go
Can I use my plan while travelling in Europe?
Yes you can use your plan while traveling in Europe as if you were at home.
You will be able to browse at the maximum speeds as at home, subject to the service available in the visited country.

What is included when I roam on Vodafone X?
Vodafone X customers roam in Europe at no extra cost. Use data, calls and texts like you would at home. You will be able to browse at the maximum speeds as at home, subject to the service available in the visited country.
Outside Europe in a RED Roaming country, you get unlimited calls & texts home and within the visited country and 200MB of data a day. A daily access fee will apply following the first roaming mobile event of the day, (making or receiving a call, sending a text, using mobile internet), and expires at midnight Irish time.
Text ‘Red’ to 50020 to opt in. Default roaming option for new Pay as you go customers travelling outside the EU is RED Roaming. To opt out text ‘Stop Red’ to 50020.

Can I buy add ons with Vodafone X?
Yes. You can purchase add ons with Vodafone X. As Vodafone X has unlimited data, maximum speed 10 Mbps, you don’t need to buy any data add ons.

How much does the offer cost / how does it work?
When you top up by €20 or more in one transaction, €20 will be debited from your credit and the offer will activate. This €20 charge will apply each time you top up by €20 or more in one transaction.
If you need to top up again during your 4 weeks offer period, it is recommended that you top up by less than the minimum amount so that you do not activate a new offer period of four weeks.
I'm on Vodafone X Music or Sport, how will my plan work after the 31st July?
Your current Vodafone X Music or Sport plan will be replaced with our new Vodafone X Plan.
Our new Vodafone X plan includes unlimited data, maximum speed of 10Mbps, unlimited national texts, 100 any network minutes during the week & unlimited any network minutes at the weekend.
How can I continue using Spotify Premium or Sky Sport Mobile TV?
What is the difference between Spotify’s free service and Spotify Premium?
With Spotify’s free service, you can access your Spotify account and your playlists. You can listen to any music you want in shuffle mode.
With Spotify Premium, in addition to having access to features on Spotify’s free service, you can listen to music without advertisements, you can download and listen to music and podcasts in offline mode, and you can play any track with unlimited skips.

Why was my reward declined?
Unfortunately if your reward was declined, it means your referral hasn’t met the qualifying criteria. This may include:

- Your friend did not top up by €20 twice within the first 60 days of becoming a Vodafone X customer.
- Your friend is an existing Vodafone customer or was previously a Vodafone customer in the last 31 days.
